in the family horse business, I decided to offer a personalized,
custom horse transport service. Horses are not just a job; they
are a life long love, and a passion. Being a competitor myself,
I understand the stresses associated with moving horses from one
place to another felt by both horse and owner. Horses in my care
are treated as if they are my own, and I ensure that they have a
safe and comfortable trip and arrive at their destination in a
timely fashion.
Horses
are transported in a 2006 Exiss four horse, slant load trailer,
which is equipped with 40 inch padded stalls and rubber floor
mats. The trailer also has a large rear loading ramp for horses
that are unaccustomed to traveling on a step up trailer. I
ensure that the truck and trailer are always in perfect working
order by making repairs when needed and adhering to the
manufacture’s maintenance schedules. The rig is also cleaned
inside and out on a regular basis, which adds to the comfort and
safety level of the trip.
ALG
transport offers uninterrupted door to door service using the
most expedient routes which means horses will be in transit for
the shortest possible time. Using a smaller trailer eliminates
the need for the trailer to be full before the trip can start
and reduces the chances of a horse becoming ill because of
exposure to unfamiliar horses. Before each trip the trailer
floor is lined with fresh wood shavings for cushioning and to
absorb waste. I also stop every two to three hours to check on
the horses, refill hay nets, and offer them water.
